Jeph Morris
Music/GT/Distance Learning Director

Hi everyone! My name is Jeph Morris, and I am super excited to be the music teacher here at Cayuse Prairie! Let me tell you a little about myself!

I grew up in West Yellowstone, MT, right next to Yellowstone National Park. I graduated top ten in my class (out of eleven), and from there it was off to the Air Force. I spent most of my four year term in Abilene Texas, with a brief visit to both Mississippi and the island of Guam. After my training, I spent two years repairing B-1 Bombers, and my last year in service as a member of the Dyess AFB Honor Guard, giving honors at funerals, weddings, and parades.

After the Air Force, I went to Montana State University (Go Bobcats!!!!) to study music and music education. As a member of just about every musical group offered by the University, I got to experience a great variety of music and performance techniques, and I’m excited to bring that experience to the students here at Cayuse Prairie.  I then student taught at Whitefish Middle and High School with Mark McCrady, and also at Russell Elementary with Francie Lipp, and after completing that, I graduated in 2014, ready and raring to go!

My wife Linnea and I just bought our first house here in Kalispell, and we live there with our two cats. We enjoy waterskiing on Foys Lake, hiking in Glacier Park and up Mt. Aeneas (?) and playing quite a bit of Xbox. Classic 80’s rock is my favorite music type, and of that, Meat Loaf is by far my favorite singer. I play saxophone, a little guitar and piano, and actually a little bit of just about everything else!
