Marlin is the only one of his five brothers who did not attend Cayuse.

Marlin attended college for two years at Eastern Mennonite University and then turned his attention to construction.  He has participated in some of the valley’s memorable building projects, including Glacier Maze and Fun Center, Cedar Creek Lodge, the Silo Apartments, and various other housing units and houses. In 1989, returning to the valley, Marlin helped his dad build the house where countless nieces and nephews spent many summers.  It is directly across from the home he lives in and is where his grandchildren and their parents now reside.  Marlin’s grandson is a current student at Cayuse Prairie and his granddaughter is a future student.  Marlin always has a wood project he is working on.  In the past he made a bulldozer bed for his grandson and most recently is working on a front door for his newly constructed home.  In 2022, Marlin designed his home and completed construction in the spring of 2023.   He is currently the project manager for JD Thinning and Excavation.
