Dear Cayuse Prairie Families,

My name is Katie Jepson and I'm excited to join the Cayuse community as a Kindergarten teacher. 

I earned my teaching credential and Masters of Education from UC Santa Barbara and had the opportunity to teach all grades Kindergarten through fifth grade over the years. 

Although I've loved working with students of all ages, Kindergarten is the most fun. My favorite thing about working with Kindergarteners is their excitement to learn and open minded perspectives on life. They also have the best sense of humor. It's an honor to guide my students through their first year of elementary school. My goal is to provide them with a positive classroom community where they feel empowered to challenge themselves academically and see all mistakes as opportunities to grow.

I'm excited to get to know my students and their families. I believe that we are all a team working together to help each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
