Hello!  My name is Megan FitzPatrick and I am one of the new special education teachers at Cayuse Prairie this year.  I am excited to be here and get to know the students, the community and the staff.

I grew up in Coram, MT and graduated from Columbia Falls High School.  I got my Bachelor’s Degree in English Education and Special Education from the University of Montana - Missoula in 2000.  I got my Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University - Arizona in Curriculum and Instruction - Reading Specialist in 2020.  I have taught special education from high school to elementary school the majority of my career. Most recently, I was the special education teacher at Fair-Mont-Egan School.

I raised two daughters (Ashley, 36 and Nikkole, 34).  Ashley still lives in Missoula and is the Assistant Manager of Basal (a vegan friendly restaurant) and owns her own speciality tea business that allows her to make herbal teas and ship them.  Nikkole and her husband, Sam, live here in the Valley.  Nikkole is a stay at home mom raising two beautiful grandchildren (Waylon, 5 and Arlee, 3 months).

During the last 3 summers I have worked in Glacier National Park for Xanterra as a food server.  This last summer, I worked in Many Glacier.  Outside of school I like to hike, kayak, take photos, ride my bike, spend time with my family and read.I am excited for this new school year!
