My name is Susi Byrne and I am a native Austrian. I have been living in the US for the last 30 years. I am a certified middle school teacher from Austria and the US and I have been teaching in Ireland, Austria and in Montana. What brought me to Montana was a Fulbright Teaching Scholarship to the University of Montana where I taught German, completed a BA in History and received my MA in 1995.

After moving to the Flathead Valley with my family, I started a German program at FVCC. I took a break from teaching to be a supportive military spouse, while raising our 2 children, Sabine and Jack, throughout the US and Europe.

I consider it a great privilege to be back teaching. After substitute teaching and working as a Paraprofessional at Cayuse Prairie School I am so pleased to continue my love for teaching and supporting middle school students to their own success and heights. I never take teaching for granted but consider it an honor and privilege to be working with students.
