Greetings,

My name is Becky Ahles and I am the Lil’ Mustangs teacher at Cayuse Prairie! I am so excited to be a part of the Cayuse Prairie community and feel honored to have the opportunity to be the first teacher and school experience for all the Lil’ Mustang students!

I was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. I spent endless hours playing outside, mostly at my cabin, aka “Up North”, enjoying the lake, woods, family, and friends. After college, I taught 5th grade in Colorado, I taught Kindergarten ELL in South Korea, third grade in Bigfork, and worked at a boarding school near Kalispell.

I am happily married to my husband, Joel, most of you know him as Mr. Ahles the PE and Health teacher. We have a daughter, Charlotte, who is nearly 4 years young and another daughter, Annabelle, who is nearly 2 years young. We enjoy spending time outside on bike rides, hikes, and swimming. In the winter we read, bake and cook things like chili, pasta, and waffles on the weekends.  We also spend quite a bit of time skiing, both downhill and cross country. Charlotte and Annabelle love riding their bikes and skiing with us. We also enjoy our black lab Tucker.

I feel that my purpose as a Kindergarten readiness teacher is to support students in their transition to school structure and schedule, social and emotional growth, and encouraging curious pursuits to instill a lifelong love for learning.  I am so excited to get to know each student in the class and share my passion for learning.
