Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Derrick Criner and I am so excited to work with you and your student throughout this academic year. I wholeheartedly believe that your child is unique, has the ability to learn at the highest levels possible, and should receive an outstanding education that promotes them to success. My goal is to get your student to learn something new every day!

I was born and raised in Kalispell and graduated from Glacier High School in 2013. I then attended Montana State in Bozeman. I graduated in the fall of 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading Education K-12 and have taught both kindergarten and 2nd grade. Currently, I am working on obtaining my Masters Degree in Reading Education from Montana State University-Billings. I love the Cayuse community and I am so proud to be a part of it!

Kindergarten is such an exciting time in a student's life. It is so fun to watch students learn, grow, and have fun on a daily basis. I love getting the opportunity to help students become the best versions of themselves each and everyday!
